The Arab International School Tarsheed is a mixed international school. The main component of the school is to contain Pre-KG, KG, Junior and Senior Schools with their related Administration and Libraries, Sports Facilities, a Canteen, a Central Administration and Auditorium building and all support services and related outdoor facilities. It has a land area of 87,700 sqm and built up area of 32,685 sqm.
Scope
Besco Engineering Service carried out the Building Information Modeling (BIM) of Architecture, Structural, MEP) and facility management information for The Arab International Academy School. The main scope of work listed below:
1. Deliver precise building and infrastructure models that ensure a coordinated design by clash avoidance to reduce errors in the field.
2. Extract COBie spreadsheets for facility management requirements from LOD400 and 500 BIM Models.
3. Enhance visualization for communication and decision-making.
4. Review the whole model and detect any clashes on all systems to be reported to the client.
5. Conduct workshops with the client to resolve the clashes in order to be implemented in the BIM model.
6. Establish the Suitable Folder Structure for all Disciplines.
7. Actual Hands-on capabilities on Creation of Templates, High Level BIM Families, Shared Parameters, Scheduling and BIM Modelling in general.
8. Establish Workflow Manual & Prepare the Revit manual for the office including all the standards files, data and techniques of the Revit system.
9. Establish the Company Library for Revit.
10. Revit co-ordination between the office teams, and between our firm and any External consultants & contractors.
11. Create Clash Matrix & Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage.
12. Produce shop drawings as zero-clash extracted from Revit for all design disciplines.
13. Enhance visualization for communication and decision-making.
